Transfergest software will be shown at the Lisbon Tourism Fair – BTL between 16 and 18 March.

Three years after the invitation to participate in the last edition of BTL, in 2019, and after a forced interregnum by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company oseubackoffice – Web Design, Software e Artes Gráficas, established in the municipality of Albufeira, is once again invited to show its Transfergest software, tool to help the management of Tourist Transport Companies, at the event that brings together the largest companies in the tourism sector in Portugal, taking place between 16 and 20 March at FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa.

According to the company, this software presents itself as “a platform that facilitates the effective management of transfers and tourist transport companies”. It has “a series of functionalities linked to the daily management of routine actions by Tourist Transport Companies, asserting itself as a platform established at the epicentre of national tourist activity”.

Integrated with the 50 startups present at FIL, the presence of the software Transfergest and the team responsible for its development in the event What’s Next – Innovating Tourism, organized by NEST – Centre for Tourism Innovation, is “a reason for extreme pride, especially in a year in which the recovery of tourism is expected and the lifting of travel restrictions arising from the pandemic,” explains sources of the company.

“It is important for Transfergest to be present to solidify not only its position about technological innovation for Tourist Transport Companies, but also to increase the competitive power of these Companies at the level of service provision and, as a consequence, contribute to the acceleration of the recovery of the tourism sector,” they add.

Carina Miguel, CEO of the company oseubackoffice, points out that “sustainability in tourism is an unavoidable path and assumed increasingly by the agents of the sector. Portugal, as a quality tourist destination, bases its competitive advantage on the principles of sustainability, on the diversified offer and the valorisation of its characteristics by putting people at the centre of its strategy”.

According to her, “the perception of success in tourism is less and less based solely on the economic aspect. A paradigm shift is increasingly visible, requiring a greater focus on the environmental and socio-cultural pillars of sustainability. The success of tourism should increasingly be measured against a holistic perspective that considers the positive and negative impacts that tourism can bring to destinations. This is why NEST’s initiative to stage an open discussion on tourism’s next steps is fundamental, not only for sharing ideas and strategies that contribute to more sustainable tourism but also to ensure that together we continue to shape a more sustainable future for generations to come.
